To My Valentine!

Richard,

This post is for you. Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow, I just want to take a minute and tell you how much I love you. I still remember our first Valentine's and how sweet you were. We both had to work, but you still brought me flowers, chocolates, and a card, and then we danced in the living room to some of our favorite songs. I'm so grateful for you. Thank you for everything you do. You truly are an amazing husband and father. I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life (and eternity!) dancing with you! I love you equal!

Some of Mr. Magoo's Firsts

For those of you who don't know, we call Aiden Mr. Magoo---just look at the picture.

Well, my little Magoo is growing up so quickly and I wanted to share some of his firsts . . . his first ride in a shopping cart . . .

. . . his first ride in a big-boy carseat . . .

. . . and his first time eating baby food. He loves butternut squash, but not bananas.

Future Dr. Couch

For Devon's birthday we got him an elaborate play doctor kit which he loves. So, this morning, as we were rushing to get out the door, I peeked into Devon's room and this is what I saw:

Isn't he adorable?

Happy Birthday Mom!

My first official post is for my mom. Today is her birthday. My mom is an amazing woman. Being a new mother, I'm beginning to understand the kind of energy, strength, and faith it took for her to raise my siblings and I. Motherhood is definitely a learning curve---I'm nowhere near what my mother was and is---but I'm trying. She is intelligent, talented, faithful, and devoted. My mother is an excellent teacher and one of the most positive and supportive influences in my life. My appreciation for all she does grows each day as I experience motherhood for myself. I love you mom!
